So I found an “ !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ” on craigslist for $10500. No, I’m not buying it, I’m just curious. So is this really a McLaren-modded car?

In the seller’s words, “these were by special order only it is a 430s edition 2dr 375hp v8 it has every option u could get 120k miles recaro leather roof delison suspenceion i have keep this car up like a baby always garage keep it had the complete 100k service from front to back last year of the hand built AMG it is in show room condition the best of both worlds performance and luxury leather is flawless as u can see i keep it inside they dont get any nicer than this.”

The whole McLaren thing seems a little dubious to me. I’m not even sure it’s a true AMG because the badge on the back would back CLK55 rather than CLK 430. Also, I think the wheels are Lorinser. Anyway, thoughts? Is thing for real?

I think it’s just a misunderstanding with the Mclaren Mercedes slr & old f1 partnership so thinks all the AMGs are Mclaren Mercedes

Calling bullshit. AMG models get different powertrains, but this one has the same 275hp V8 that every other CLK 430 got? Why would McLaren put their name on the base car and not the AMG? Why Didn’t any other AMG get the McLaren badge beside the supercar? They’re going to make a one-off special trim model and that’s the one they want to pick for it?

There was a “McLaren” Mercedes on NPoCP not too long ago, but it was one of those three door pieces of shit from the early 00s. No one was able to find out if it’s a real thing that existed or not, so I’m guessing that it’s not.

It’s worse than that. This car isn’t even an actual AMG, as those came with the 5.4. Somebody’s trying to pull a fast one with some badges they brought on eBay.

It’s not a “Black Edition” or anything so no.

It may have an AMG wheel and suspension package, which were options on more-recent Mercedes to jazz them up a bit without a full AMG price tag.
